The 24th Passenger Terminal Expo has opened today in Stockholm and you can visit Aislelabs on the ground floor! PTE is scheduled to run for the next three days until March 22nd and you have a chance to speak with us about the future of airports.
Aislelabs is located at booth 1657 on the expo floor. Come talk to us about our Flow location analytics platform and how it can revolutionize airports with passenger flow analytics. Flow works with your existing infrastructure so it’s easy to install. We also offer a social WiFi product for guest WiFi that gives you insights into your passenger demographics.
Today, March 20th at 4:15pm in Room A7 of the conference, our CEO Dr. Nick Koudas will be part of a panel talking about terminal flow management at airports and the connected passenger. Come see this discussion on how data is transforming the way terminal flow is managed. Tomorrow, March 21st at 10:05 a.m. in Room A7 of the conference, Dr. Koudas will present a talk on end-to-end airport passenger flow and predictive analytics.
Here is more about the panel discussion and presentation.
Panel Discussion: Terminal flow management and the connected passenger
In recent years, airports have invested in numerous different technology solutions to track passengers and measure queue and dwell times throughout the different terminal processes. The audience and panellists will discuss how this data is being transformed into management information, and the techniques applied to improve terminal flow management. We will also discuss how personalised tracking data can be generated and shared with passengers for the next generation of connected passenger interaction.
Audience will learn:
- Using queue and dwell time for more than KPI reporting
- Methods for proactive passenger flow management
- Can and should we track individual passengers throughout the terminal?
- Can personalised tracking data connect the airport and airline directly to the passenger?
- What are the barriers to passenger personalisation?
End-to-end airport passenger flow and predictive analytics
Airports deploy end-to-end passenger flow analysis and predictive intelligence platforms enabling analysis across the entire airport utilising the existing wi-fi infrastructure. The talk will present an overview of the deployments, key functions and operational intelligence gained. One unique feature of the technology is the ability to provide predictions regarding passenger volumes and flow, correlating information collected with FIDS and other operational data. This enables airports to operate in a predictive manner, anticipating volumes and delays and scheduling personnel suitably to handle such delays. The talk will highlight key learnings to date and the way forward.
Audience will learn:
- Exposure to the latest technologies for passenger flow analysis
- Applied predictive analytics to improve airport operations
- How to handle unexpected passenger volumes gracefully
- How to understand the kerb to gate passenger journey and delays
- How to schedule staff intelligently to avoid service disruptions
We hope to see you there to discuss the future of airline travel and airports!
